After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Woodbury University, Annemarie’s passion for the technical side of interior design was awakened, and she began to zealously pursue the technical interrelationship between interior design, architecture, and engineering. Fifteen years ago that pursuit led her to preparing specifications, and since then she has distinguished herself by collaborating with many acclaimed specifications consultants and architecture firms in Los Angeles, ultimately rising to the position of Chief Specifier at AC Martin Partners, one of Southern California’s most established planning, architecture, and engineering firms (continuously in business since 1905). Most recently, Annemarie has been independently pursuing specifications as a subconsultant to several top Los Angeles-area specifiers.

Never losing sight of her vision to more closely unite the technical aspects of interior design with both architecture and engineering, Annemarie has continuously worked to more thoroughly integrate interior technical solutions into architectural project manuals and other design documentation. To this end she has created numerous documentation tools, organized and systemized document language and preparation procedures, produced construction bid documents, and authored custom master guide specifications for interiors projects. Annemarie also served ARCOM’s MasterSpec® review committee by assisting with developing a commercially-available MasterSpec® product for interiors projects.

Annemarie is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), is a Certified Construction Specifier (CCS), and has experience writing specifications for nearly all types of projects, including high rise buildings, civic and community facilities, courthouses, embassies, both private and public K-12 and higher ed facilities, multi-family residential, and very high end, multi-million dollar single-family residences. She has also taught interior design at Woodbury University.
