Remote Consulting Services

With our remote consulting services, we’re able to combine the telephone and web-based tools to bring you an affordable alternative to full-scale consulting.

 
Remote consulting is your best option for situations when full-scale consulting may not be appropriate or desired. We offer three basic types: situational consulting, coaching, and mentoring. Each method gives you access to all of our resources and experience at a fraction of the cost of a full-scale engagement.

SITUATIONAL CONSULTING

Sometimes all you need is a little of our time and expertise to resolve a small issue. Situational Consulting is designed for people who have an immediate and urgent need for help on a very clear and well-defined issue. They don’t need coaching and they don’t need mentoring. They just need quick answers.

Basic Situational Consulting: For a $500 investment, you’ll get up to one hour (cumulative) of phone consulting, plus unlimited email exchange for up to five business days. And if you engage AWCWEST for a larger project within 30 days of your situational consulting, your $500 investment will be credited back to you.

Advanced Situational Consulting: For a $2,500 investment, you’ll get unlimited phone and email consulting for 30 days. And as with our basic situational consulting, if you engage AWCWEST for a larger project within 30 days of your situational consulting, your $2,500 investment will be credited back to you.

COACHING

Coaching is designed for pre-professional students and interns, design professionals, managers, or anyone else either working for an organization or seeking employment, and who generally want help with a single issue (although sometimes they’re looking for longer-term career advice as well). For a modest fee we’re retained for a limited-duration set interval (usually 30 days), during which you can phone or email us within certain constraints. For instance, phone calls are typically scheduled at mutually convenient times or result from us returning your call within 24 hours. There’s no limit on the variety of coaching programs we can create, or on the number of times you can repeat or enroll in a new program.

Individual Coaching Program: Individuals can begin a 30-day coaching program for an investment of as little as $750. Phone contact is limited to one call per week (additional contact is available for an increased fee).

Group Coaching Program: For those who prefer to enroll in a coaching program with a buddy (or two), an investment of $1,400 for two people or $2,000 for three people can secure a 30-day coaching program for your group. Phone contact is limited to one scheduled conference call call per week (with additional group contact and individual follow-ups available for an increased fee).

Crowd Coaching Program: Customized programs for groups larger than three can be arranged, and include private access to your program’s own secure online coaching space. Use your space to post or read announcements, participate in multiple discussion boards, upload or download files, and more. MENTORING

Mentoring takes place over a longer period of time than coaching (usually six months) and provides personal, one-to-one assistance to entrepreneurs, other consultants, or anyone else interested in getting serious about their career, interested in breaking into business, wanting to generate additional business or earn higher fees, or perhaps all of the above. Our programs also provide an excellent experience for individuals seeking more in-depth, hands-on instruction than coaching. 

Basic Program:   This program provides six months of unlimited access to AWCWEST by e-mail, phone, fax, regular mail, etc. We begin by studying your current situation and expectations, and then work with you to establish your mentoring goals. Some people contact us daily, some weekly, some monthly. Some visit us in person when it is mutually convenient, and others don’t. The frequency and style are up to you. We generally return phone calls within 90 minutes, and written correspondence within 24 hours. Admission is limited. When there are no openings available we have a first come, first served waiting list. Fees are required upfront to begin the mentoring process or to claim a place on the waiting list, and may be paid in installments, however your program doesn’t begin until payment is complete. Fees are  non-refundable, without exception. However, you may call a “freeze” at any point, for up to two months at a time, at which time we stop the calendar until you’re ready to begin again. Also, we can often provide grace periods at the end of your six months to take care of any loose ends. This mentoring program option is available for $3,500.

Guided Program:  Those individuals who prefer a more structured relationship with additional accountability for meeting goals may qualify for Guided Mentoring. With this mentoring program option we help you identify four or five areas which are of highest priority to you, and then create for you a detailed template with specific tasks and specific completion dates. We also schedule contact times to discuss accomplishments and any obstacles preventing short-term tasks from being completed. Guided Mentoring provides externally-enforced discipline; you are accountable for specific completion activities on certain dates for which we follow-up with you. Guided Mentoring is recommended for those at any level of their career who feel the need for increased structure, or may require more urgency in creating results. Due to its targeted nature, you may not “freeze” the Guided Program during the six months. This mentoring program option is available for $6,500.

Total Immersion Program:  For those who want to “jump start” the process, we offer a new option called total immersion, which consists of two days in Southern California with AWCWEST to have more interaction with us as a group. We also spend considerable time on your strategy and goals, and create plans to move forward. Spouses and significant others are welcome to attend as much of the discussions as they’d like. We’ll dine together and also have some recreation and down time. Afterward, you’ll enter the Basic Program for six months. The fee for total immersion including the six-month Basic Program is $9,500.
